Kubica expecting problem to hinder race

Robert Kubica claims he is in for a difficult Hungarian Grand Prix after highlighting a software problem that he believes he will have to put up with in the race.

Kubica has shown impressive pace over the course of the weekend but he was never in contention for a spot at the front of the grid like his BMW team-mate Nick Heidfeld.

Eventually qualifying in seventh position, Kubica claims he was having problems with acceleration that was preventing him from getting the most out of his car. With parc ferme rules now in place, the Pole is unsure that he will be able to overcome the problem in the race now.

“The day was not very good,” he said after qualifying. “The car is not accelerating how it should. We lose too much time with every single upshift. We now have to analyse the data and see what we can do for tomorrow, which will be difficult as the car is in Parc Fermé right now. Seventh was the best I could do under these conditions.”
