Maybe we will get a little bit more of a glimpse of that this year. There have been some laps going in which have maybe shocked a few of the other teams and maybe a few of them are wondering if Toyota has done something. But we need to see it consistently and that has not been done yet.

Toyota has got half a chance of pulling results out. We know that Jarno Trulli is a good qualifier, but we have to wait and see on the 'new' guy, Timo Glock.

We say he is new, but he has been around a while and he has got experience, but I still have my doubts whether he – or the team - is going to be a strong contender on a consistent basis.

Williams has gone well in testing too, and I'd like to see it up there. It is a great name and has got so much going for it. It would be well deserved if it got some results under its belt and I anticipate that it will get some.

But, like last season, Williams is slightly under-funded and the resources are a little smaller in comparison to some of the bigger guys. It will be desperately trying to make an impact early on and trying to capitalise on its performance to get the points – and that will be the focus. I think, halfway through the season, some of the other guys might overtake it. We will have our fingers crossed for Team Willy.

In amongst those people will be Renault and, while I think the regie will be battling it out for podiums and slogging it out against the likes of BMW and maybe Red Bull, I don't think it will be winning grands prix.

It is going to be a tough season in some ways for Alonso coming off the back of not winning another world title, but being in car which was capable of winning grands prix. When you go out of the pit-lane and know you have got that possibility, it is one thing. When you drive out of the pit-lane knowing you have got no realistic chance of winning, it is quite tough to contend with.

Nelson Piquet Jr may also worry Alonso now. In some ways, he has got nothing to lose and has seen what Lewis did against Alonso as a rookie. There is no reason to think it is not achievable by somebody else.

As for Honda, its form in testing has not been good, although the team were pleased with the final test at Jerez.

I think the best that Jenson Button and Rubens Barrichello can hope for is to try and pick up points. That has got to be the aim and, if Honda hasn't got performance, it needs consistency and reliability. If it has that it, has got half a chance of scoring early on.

We all know that Ross Brawn is there now, and we all know what he can do, but we also know he hasn't been there long yet and, at the moment, Honda is not producing what we expect.
