Valles linked to F1 chance at Williams, RBR
Adrian Vallés could be set for a return to the Formula 1 paddock, with claims that the young Spaniard is in talks with one of the British-based teams.

The 22-year-old spent the 2007 campaign as one of Spyker's test drivers, but was dropped after the Silverstone outfit became Force India towards the end of the year.

This season Vallés has stepped back down to the GP2 Series, in which he had previously competed for Spanish concern Campos Racing in 2006. Having participated in the inaugural GP2 Asia Series and the opening round of the main GP2 championship with FMSI, the man from Alicante has since moved to BCN Competicion.

Taking the place of Paolo Maria Nocera in the #26 car, he has registered five points from six races with the squad, the highlight to-date being fourth place in race one around the narrow streets of Monaco from the same spot on the starting grid, taking the chequered flag less than three seconds shy of the final step on the rostrum.

According to the Spanish newspaper El Mundo, Vallés travelled straight from his latest outing at Magny-Cours last weekend to England this week for 'an important meeting' with one of the British-based F1 teams.

McLaren-Mercedes, Renault, Red Bull Racing, Williams-Toyota, Honda and Force India all have their headquarters in the UK, but El Mundo speculates that Williams and Red Bull are the most likely destinations.

Earlier this year it was mooted that Williams might be moving its test team to Spain, in a deal that could give Spanish youngsters their break in the top flight [see separate story – click here].
