Teams test despite ban.

Formula 1 may be in the middle of its three-week summer break and the test ban, but that hasn't stopped Renault from doing some additional checks ahead of the inaugural European Grand Prix at Valencia.

The Regie took advantage of the rules, which permit teams to conduct short shakedowns, providing they do not do more than 50 kilometres, to run at the Kemble Airfield in Gloucestershire this week.

According to reports in the British press, Renault fielded two cars at the facility, which use to be the former home of the Red Arrows.

McLaren-Mercedes and Force India meanwhile were also apparently at Kemble last week conducting similar shakedowns.

Formula 1 testing will now resume proper following the European Grand Prix, with Monza set to hold the next big group test, with running scheduled for three-days from August 27-29.

Why that title if there are two other teams doing the same and it is legal? Then, the title should be "McLaren-Mercedes, Force India and Renault ''test'' despite summer break".

Ferrari do these 50km shakedowns before every race at fiorano. Most other teams dont normally but with a new track to learn every moment of practice will count.
