Glock `can`t wait` for Spa F1 debut.

Timo Glock has admitted that this weekend's Belgian Grand Prix is one race he has been looking forward to since inking his deal to join Panasonic Toyota Racing at the start of the season - and he is glad that he is in better health for Spa-Francorchamps than he has been of late.

The picturesque Ardennes circuit was not among those Glock sampled on previous, brief, foray into Formula One with Jordan in 2004 but, having raced there in the supporting GP2 Series, the German is eagerly anticipating the thrill of tackling the likes of Eau Rouge, Stavelot and Blanchimont with extra horses under his right foot.

"Spa is one of my favourite tracks, so I can't wait to race there for the first time in Formula One," Glock enthused, "It's a fantastic experience in a GP2 car, so I am expecting it to be amazing in the TF108."

The rookie's hopes of a decent result at Spa have been buoyed by consecutive point-scoring finishes in Budapest and Valencia - to go with the fourth place he took in Montreal - and he is confident that he can add to Toyota's tally now that he has shaken bugs that dogged him at the August events.

"I am going to Belgium with a lot of confidence because our performance in the last few races has been very impressive and we have proved we can fight at the front," he reasoned, "Personally, it is very satisfying to have scored points in the last two races despite feeling unwell both times, and I really believe we have made a lot of progress."

The only caveat Glock through in to stem his optimism from overflowing was the fact that all teams will have to use different tyres in Belgium than he used to good effect in the last two rounds. Bridgestone took its soft and supersoft compounds to Hungary and Spain, but will return to more long-lasting rubber this weekend.

"It's really good for the team to be scoring points regularly and challenging for the podium, and we hope we will be strong again at Spa," the German noted, "However, we will [have to] see how it goes with the harder compound Bridgestone tyres. Whatever, I am confident we can finish in the points again."

Although he clearly has his own feelings about Spa, Glock will no doubt have picked up on the enthusiasm his rivals have for the circuit, not least veteran Toyota team-mate Jarno Trulli.

"In my opinion, Spa is simply the best circuit in the world - I love driving there," the Italian confirmed, "Every part of the circuit is challenging for a driver and that is fantastic because you have to really push in every corner to get the best lap time. It gives you a special feeling.
