Luca Badoer kicked off the Scuderia's final test session prior to the end of the 2008 F1 season at the Autodromo Internazionale del Mugello on Wednesday.

The Italian, who was giving the Ferrari F2008 its debut at the Tuscan circuit, coming just under two months before the track hosts the 'World Finals', over the weekend of November 8-9, completed 66 tours in total. His best lap was a 1 minute 21.010 seconds.

"The day's programme included the development of some aerodynamic solutions aimed at the final four races of the season and some work on car set-up," read a statement from Ferrari.

Ferrari was the only team on track at Mugello, as all its rivals have opted to run at Jerez in Spain - with the exception of Force India, which is not testing this week.

Testing will now continue on Thursday, with reigning world champion Kimi Raikkonen taking over from Badoer.

At the same time Felipe Massa will also be in action - but at Fiorano, Ferrari's private test track, conducting a shakedown of the cars that will be used at the inaugural Singapore Grand Prix on September 28.
