McLaren launch today.

McLaren will become the third team of the season to reveal the car it hopes will take it to world championship glory, when the wraps come off the MP4-24 at a press launch at its Woking home.

The Vodafone-sponsored, Mercedes-powered machine will be charged with helping Lewis Hamilton defend the title he won in dramatic circumstances at last year's season-ending Brazilian Grand Prix, and taking the expected fight to Ferrari, which kicked off the annual launch season by uncovering its F60 - and getting it out on track - on Monday.

The first details and images of - and reaction to - the latest McLaren are due from 11am GMT, as the team reveals its interpretation of the latest set of Formula One rules. While McLaren has been ahead of the game with its KERS development, it has yet to show its hand in terms of the new aerodynamic interpretation which, as BMW Sauber's interim machine showed during late-2008 testing, has received mixed reaction from observers.
