FIRST PICTURES: Williams FW31.

Williams has taken the covers off its 2009 Formula One challenger, the FW31, at the Portimao circuit.

The car, revealed in an interim testing livery, will make its on-track debut at the Portuguese circuit later today with test driver Nico Hulkenberg at the wheel.

Williams finished eighth in the constructors' championship in 2008 but has focused its attention on the new season for some time and will hope that Nico Rosberg and Kazuki Nakajima will be able to reap the benefits when the new season kicks off in Australia.

Mmmm. nice car. I think the colour of these new cars is having an influence on their attractiveness, my view is that darker colours are always more flattering on Formula cars, and white is least attractive. Fingers crossed it is as good as it looks, if I have a fave team Williams is it, and there also seems a general feeling of good will on this forum to Williams, so maybe a bit of success for them will cheer us all up and stop us bitching.....

That's pretty handsome. Nicest looking of the cars so far i'd say - especially when you compare it to the Renault. Everything about that car is just wrong.
