1996 Formula 1 World champion and British Racing Drivers' Club president, Damon Hill will receive an honorary award from the University of Northampton next month at the institution's Winter Graduation ceremonies.

Hill is being presented with an Honorary Fellowship in recognition of his career and outstanding F1 success and for his local connections to Silverstone, Northamptonshire where the British Racing Drivers' Club is based.

1,253 students will be graduating from The University of Northampton on Sunday 8 February in two ceremonies on the day at Royal & Derngate, Northampton.
