F1 Driver of the Day: British GP

The British Grand Prix at Silverstone saw Mark Webber come through to take his second win of the season and his second in three years at the Northamptonshire-based track.

It was a great drive from the Aussie, although Fernando Alonso also did well for Ferrari and came within four laps of taking two wins in succession, not that second was a bad result, as it still keeps the Spaniard top in the battle for the F1 2012 drivers' title.

Behind, Sebastian Vettel had a bit of a low key weekend by his standards, but still took the final spot on the podium.

Then there was Felipe Massa, who having secured his best grid position of the year the day before, put in a very good drive to take fourth - a welcome boost for the Brazilian after a tough few months.

Both Lotus drivers' also did well, with Kimi Raikkonen coming home fifth, right on the tail of Massa, while Romain Grosjean fought back from his first lap incident with Paul di Resta to take an impressive sixth.

Michael Schumacher and Lewis Hamilton had more trying afternoons, although both still scored and Lewis even led at one point, dicing with Alonso before his first stop, in one of the more entertaining moments of the race.

We shouldn't forget Bruno Senna and Jenson Button too as both came back after starting down in 13th and 16th respectively to score.
