Can Felipe Massa beat Fernando Alonso?

Felipe Massa's recent return to form has seen him out-qualify Ferrari colleague Fernando Alonso at four straight grands prix, and a repeat performance in China would be the first time the Spaniard has ever lost out five times in a row to a team-mate, but does Massa have what it takes to become a true threat to the double world champion?

Massa currently holds the upper hand in terms of championship position, albeit largely due to Alonso's early exit at Sepang, but was denied a chance to race his team-mate in Melbourne when Ferrari effectively switched their positions during the pit-stops.

So, does Massa's renewed potential provide a help or hindrance for the Scuderia? Can he become a title threat for the first time since missing out to Lewis Hamilton in 2008, or will he forever be number two at Maranello? Can Felipe Massa beat Fernando Alonso?
