F1 QUIZ: The Mid-Season Summer Recap
Just over halfway through the 2012 season, 11 races down and nine to go - and still everything to play for as far as Fernando Alonso, Sebastian Vettel, Lewis Hamilton et al are concerned.
There's been lots happening since the season got underway in March, at venues scattered literally all around the world. Now we've got a few weeks of rest and relaxation to sit back and reflect on what's happened, so how much can you recall?
Here we've put together some sneaky descriptions of each of the Grand Prix events of the year so far - 11 in all, with each race the answer in one and only one case. Think you can match our less-than-obvious but hopefully entertainingly trivia-packed descriptions to the correct event and venue?
Google, Wikipedia and the rest won't be so much help with this quiz, but even so do try and avoid outside help if you can - it'll make that sweet taste of success so much nicer if you do!

Question 1. Easy one to start with: Lewis Hamilton's first win of 2012 was at a street circuit located next to the water, first used by F1 in 1978 and which holds the record for the longest-ever modern-era world championship GP - one that lasted a whopping 4hrs 4mins 39.537secs because of a red flag for rain.
