» F1 QUIZ: Who said that?
StumbleUpon
Since we're still in the grip of this interminable extended August summer holiday for F1, we have a chance to slip in a bonus F1 Quiz reviewing the year so far - but in a slightly different way from usual, and with a unique perspective.
This time we're allowing the Grand Prix race winners themselves to set the questions, by using their own words spoken immediately after the races to recap the 11 events so far in 2012. Can you recognise who is doing the talking in each case, and which race they're talking about?
We've tried to choose quotes where it's possible to work out the speaker from how they talk and by including clues as to which race they've just won, but it's not always as easy as you might think to tell one from another.
11 races in 2012 means there are 11 quotations in total with each winner/race combination the answer to one and only question. All the press conference transcripts are in
Crash.net'
s F1 feature section, but try and avoid sneaking a look there - or at Google, Wikipedia and the rest - in order to make it much more fun and satisfying when you boast about your score to the rest of us by using the comments section to impress us with your triumphs.
Good luck!
Question 1. "Prost was leading with two laps to go and he crashed. So you never get ahead of yourself around here, because you'll get bitten in the arse really hard. So after the last corner was when I thought I was going to win."
Please select an answer
