So that's it - another season of F1 comes to the end of its stay in Europe, and we get back on the long haul flights for Singapore, Suzuka, Korea and a first time visit to Texas among others. But at least the European season bowed out in style with back-to-back races at two of the best circuits in the world - fan favourite Spa-Francorchamps and the high-speed Autodromo Nazionale Monza.
While it was good to be back in action after a month's hiatus, and there was plenty going on both on- and off-the track to follow, it was also impossible not to get nostalgic about the history of the sport among the ghosts of these two circuits.
