F1 » F1 QUIZ: The 2012 Post-Season Quiz!

For many, Christmas and New Year is a time of festive fun with friends and family. But for the true F1 devotee, it's a time when we have to sustain ourselves through the chilly off-season by warming ourselves with just our memories of the fiery, hard-fought year of racing just completed.

Remember how it all started, with that succession of different winners as no one driver was able to establish dominance? That was fine by Fernando Alonso as his overall consistency floated him to the top, but then Red Bull and Sebastian Vettel moved into high gear in the second half of the season and raced to the top to clinch his third world championship despite near disaster in Sao Paulo.

But what about the other highlights of the 20-race 2012 season, such as Nico Rosberg and Pastor Maldonado winning their first races? Our ten-question quiz will take you on a quick tour of some of the facts and figures telling the story of the year just gone, from the first to the last, the quickest to the slowest, and the youngest to the oldest.

Try and steer clear of Google, Wikipedia or even Crash.net's unbeatable news archives while you try your hand at our questions, and don't forget to let us all know how you get on with the quiz by using the comments section. Ready to start? The first question awaits you below...

Question 1. Nice and easy one to warm you up with: Sebastian Vettel won 11 Grand Prix races when he dominated in 2011, but how many victories did he claim on his way to the 2012 world championship?
