McLaren wouldn’t shy from Alonso return
McLaren's Martin Whitmarsh said that any team would welcome Fernando Alonso as the F1 paddock grapevine links the Spaniard with a return to Woking in 2014.
Ferrari driver Fernando Alonso was pretty downbeat following Friday practice for the Singapore Grand Prix, and while he said the team definitely isn't throwing in the towel, he also warned they have to be realistic.

Mark Webber has been handed a ten-place grid penalty to serve at the next grand prix in Korea after being reprimanded for picking up a lift back to pit lane from Fernando Alonso. 
Sebastian Vettel might have looked supremely confident watching the end of qualifying from pit lane, but he admitted afterwards that he'd been very nervous watching events play out.
