He is correct. At the end of the day, F1 shouldn't be a numbers game. If there were only 6 or 7 teams in F1, but nothing to split them in terms of pace, it would be just as good if not better than 12 or 13 teams with a number of teams way way off the pace.
The FIA should have insisted that the new teams be no more than 2 or 3 seconds off the pace at the very least - even if it takes more testing for them.
Whats the point in having good teams if your going to have a bunch of tractors at the back clogging it all up?
