This whole mess is just sickening. I already thought Renault was a shady bunch, then again it makes sense that a new bunch of shady characters would join them. In my mind Group Lotus/Proton have shot themselves in the foot, a wasted investment, because they have created nothing but ill will, and this PR campaign is actually making things worse. The more they say the more Fernadez looks better. Proton owning Lotus basically kills the brand anyway and this is basically putting the nail in the coffin for western buyers.
