Way back in the pass (Good Old Days) the grid was open to all aspirants. The requirements to compete was for the most part, simple. 1. A legal safe car 2. A license driver. 3. The car must qualify within 107% rule. 4. entrance fee...not complicated.. A qualifying preference would be given to teams who competed in the last race. OK guys you got the money .. Buy a car, driver or a whole team..The winning factor now is Not the big Sponsors, or money..The driver's Talent will be the key, the controlling factor..The top drivers may ask a Billion to drive ... Well that's a another story.. Just thinking, Jose
