The sensation is NOT from the surgery, it is from the nerve NOT repaired. From mid forearm that will take at 1-2mm/month nerve re-generation for the motor nerve - you guys can do the math, faster for sensation. He's human, the laws of the body still apply.
I am so glad he survived but as a professional in the business of his injuries, it is not likely we'll see him in F1 again and I am very, very sad about that.
