Yeah I have been to Melbourne many times. It is a great event on a good circuit. The support categories such as the V8s are wide and varied. This year they are putting up a prize packet of AUD$500,000 for the V8s which is for the overall winner plus the usual sanction fee. I suppose with any T.V. viewing it does not do justice to any event. It all started to-day. Jean Todt has been down here for two weeks and will not be leaving until Monday. He visited the V8 event (Clipsal) in Adelaide which attracted a capacity crowd of 190,000 last weekend and stated he liked the way us Australians do our stuff. I Don't know where you are from but you should be receiving T.V coverage of the V8s as it goes worlwide. If you get a chance have a look. They are a good category and have just been re-classified by the FIA as the "International V8 Car Series" due to the flyaway events.
