The fact that overtaking is way too easy most of the time is not due to DRS/Kers. That works as well as it could be expected.
It's the tyres. They degrade waaaaay too much and have way too high dropoff. Degrading tyres is fine but 4 pitstops is way too many. They should try to make the tryes degrade less exponentially and more linear so that there's never such a big difference between tyes as there is now. Then the guy getting attacked with DRS/KERS actually has a chance of defending.
Basically, Pirelli went overboard with making the tyres bad on purpose.
