most confusing story. there is no "renault" team (as owned by manufacturer renault). instead, there is a lotus renault team, owned by genii capital/lotus group. as far as i am aware, renault have no financial stake. however, renault exists as an engine manufacturer. so presumably it is the (genii capital) team that is reported to be short of money, whilst another entity, engine manufacturer renault, who are saying they wont provide engines if the turbo is dropped. its all very confusing!
