I said on an earlier post F1 will go either subscription or PPV, and it will. 1) BigBadBernie will not drop the cost, for fear that all others countries come with the same request. 2) Lord Patten has said the World Service is important and it costs £241 million (UK Foreign Office has cut the grant). They will be under pressure to cover the cost directly, although if the FO has cut funding, surely that means not important...politics here. 3) Look, forget the argument that "going SUB/PPV means that the loss of viewers will upset advertisers". F1 is too global now. What percentage of the viewing audience will be lost if "some" UK viewers are lost through switching to SUB/PPV?...It's nothing in the global audience figures. In the huge emerging markets, such as, India, Brazil, China, Russia, likely it will remain free to air (i.e. sponsors will say so, they won't be bothered about the UK. I dont work for BSKYB or anyone who is likely to benefit from a switch. All the final statements (B
