Whitmarsh is out of touch, FOM (FOWC) for example sell the broadcast rights to the BBC, and just like every other broadcaster that buy the F1 rights, the BBC can do what they want with them, they can broadcast over the mobile phone network if they choose, have races 'blue-toothed' to PC monitors, etc, etc, etc. But the simple fact is there's no demand for it. The last F1 focus group that was asked if they'd prefer to watch F1 on a mobile phone, not 1 person said yes, and watching online was only 2%, and most of those said only if a TV wasn't available. There's no point doing something just because you can.
