Williams have a bit of a habit of making "fortunate" one time champions when you think about it.
Rosberg in 82 thanks to a reliable Williams when Prost and Lauda's cars had a habit of breaking. He had only won a single GP in his entire career when he bacame champion!
Mansell in 92 thanks to the most advanced F1 car ever and a team mate that would have been happier on the golf course by that stage of his career.
Hill in 96 thanks to the best car on the grid that won 12 out of 16 races and having Villeneuve as a team mate who was little threat to anyone.
Villeneuve in 97 thanks to a car that was so good even Frentzen managed to win a race in it!
So there you go, 4 very lucky champions, I would hope that Frank Williams is top of their Christmas card list every year.
