@Taipan you really can't compare the pre-split Indycar Series with the watered down Champcar Series that Bourdais took part in. That is like comparing F1 with A1GP. JV was an awesome talent in Indycar and F1. He had the best rookie season in F1 history. Sure he wasted most of his career at BAR but that really should not diminish his prior accomplishments. He was one of the first drivers to really race Schumacher wheel to wheel. The pass around the outside on the last corner in Estoril was brilliant. On Michael Andretti it is true that he did not take F1 serious enough as he did not even bother to move to Europe. That car was dog and the team was clearly built around Senna. Once Michael started to figure things out they canned him.
