Mark, I'll take your word on the differences between Indycar and Champcar because I never followed either. But I can't agree that the 93 McLaren was a dog, Senna won 5 races in 93 with that car and was second only to Prost in a very good Williams. The third place that Andretti got at Monza was only because half the field failed to finish inc prost, Senna, Berger, Schumacher, Brundle, Herbert etc, Infact Andretti may have finished third but he was still lapped by Hill and Alesi. The cold truth is that Andretti was not good enough to be in F1, he just couldn't deal with an F1 car, nothing to do with not moving to Europe or Ron backing Senna, those issues will not have helped him but the main problem was a severe lack of talent at that level.
