nedTed, Porsche did make a car to replace the 911, it was called the 928. It was the only sports car ever to win the European Car of the year award (1978) so it was rather good, but not popular enough to replace the iconic 911. What Porsche has done with the 911 over the decades is incredible, can you think of any other car that was concieved in the '60s (the real blueprint hasn't changed much since the '30s) which is still a class leader?
