I just do not understand why they should want to stage a race in a place which has rejected F1 before. Its not like there are dozens of local drivers competing - the US has only had 2 champions ever and none for over 30 years. And who will stump up the cost of running it? The local authority? I dont think so. And one assumes it would replace one of the old circuits on the calendar - Spa or Monza perhaps - as the new circuits pay more money and thats all that matters. Still, it will doubtless happen if enough dollars are waved and F1 fans will end up paying more to see more dull processions on Tilkeways. At least the races that side get shown early evening here which has to be better than the crippling 0600-0800 starts for the oriental races
