A well considered piece. I have two points to make -
1. Get an editor to read over the piece first. The over use of parentheses is very distracting and interrupts the flow of the writing.
2. The premise of this piece seems to be that F1 needs a US driver. I don't necessarily accept this - F1 should and does have the best drivers in the world, regardless of their origin. If you want to see all countries represented on the grid, try A1GP. F1 doesn't have to have a US driver just for the sake of having a US driver.
