it is true to say that if the ferrari turns out to be as bad as many fear you can bet your last dollar it will be right up there towards the end of the season.
the most important part of f1 imo is not necessarily to have a great car at the start of the season but how quickly you can develop and implement upgrades throughout the season.
that's why as good as the testing has been for lotus and sauber etc. we know they don't have the resources to keep pace with rbr, ferrari, maclaren and mgp through the course of the season.
if ferrari get all their "radical" design ideas working early on in the season the other teams could be in for a shock.
