Whilst this discussion is enlightening, the GP is not going to be cancelled as a protest but only if there is a safety problem for the F1 circus. This is a consistent and arguable position to take and avoids the stupidity of F1 having to make value judgements about politics. However, Bernie's published remarks have been misleading, disingenuous and heartless and this is a separate issue. Perhaps he would prefer the pesky journalists to be targeted and murdered, the way it's done in Syria?
