I think I'm right in saying Sir Jackie has a number of "sponsors" or companies over there who he's an ambassador for ! So not too sure this is a unbiased view. Clearly Bernie wants to go as he knows there's a future there in terms of being able to pay the bills and host races instead of the unsteady European financial climate. It's nothing to do with racing, its the politics of racing. For the record Bahrain still paid the race fee last year even though it didn't go ahead, guess Bernie owes them one.
