He didn't put them off track. They were behind him, so he couldn't have. He blocked the inside line through the next braking zone and corner, which he is perfectly entitled to. The outside line was wide open. Alonso took that line instead but couldn't make the pass, Hamilton committed anyway and went outside the track to overtake - which he technically isn't allowed to.
