Not surprised to see these comments really, Ralf was always one of the least popular drivers on the grid. But he was NOT bad by any means. In fact as someone pointed out he was closely matched with quite a few quality racers over his career and never really got the credit he deserved. He often came across as very arrogant in interviews etc and I think he lived largely in the shadow of his brother, but yes he did regularly beat Montoya and even though Trulli was regarded as a quali specialist back then Ralf was usually stronger in race trim. And for God's sake, these comments were made at a DTM race when he got a direct question from a reporter whether he's considering an F1 comeback and he said no. What the hell is wrong with that? What do YOU think he should have said? "No, because I am overrated and useless and nobody would want me there"? Please.
