Taipan you are absolutely right. Some people eh! As far as I remember this was the height of the FISA/FOCA war. There were only six cars on the track at Dijon (the FISA teams) as FOCA boycoted the race and there was a gentlemans agreement that whomever was in the lead by a certain point would be the one to win the race. Just like Mika and DC at Oz 1998. Gilles WAS incensed and NEVER would speak to Pironi ever again and was killed at Zolder trying to get one over at that Belgian race. These disagrees are from people who don't know the facts.
