I think she's probably right. I see no real reason why a woman should not be as good as a man at driving an F1 car really. The more the world of motorsports will open up to female drivers, the bigger the chance of finding one with real talent.
I think many team managers know this too, that they are limiting themselves if they only look at half the world's population when trying to find the next Vettel. And don't forget there HAVE been females in F1 before, although with limited success. I think the best example so far is Michele Mouton, but she is quite the example too. IMO she's shown it can be done - although she fell slightly short of taking the WC she certainly did have it within grasp.
Having said that though, I see no women racers at the moment which I personally think are WDC material...
