Of course any comments from Ferrari regarding spending are going to be met with unalloyed waves of cynicism, but I believe what Luca has said is right. With the current global economy it's not viable for teams to continue spending hundreds of millions each and every year.
I expect more comments like Calvin's, connecting Ferrari's concerns with lackluster on-track performance. Quite frankly I find this to be a very short sighted perspective.
