Problem is, he may be driving tires and getting an inside look at what's going on with them... but, he's not bright enough, or talented enough to capitalize on it. He's like Ferrari's Badoer.. lot's of laps and opportunities, zero capitalization. In two seasons, Vettel nailed his first win in an STR and placed 8th in that season. The best JA did was 14th in the season, with a career best finish of 7th. Not exactly the star material he believes himself to be cut from, and not what Red Bull is looking for - as he should have known. With the likes of Perez, Grosiean and Maldonado cracking the top 10 with shocking regularity, the odds of JA getting a seat any time soon are slimmer than ever. Say g'nite Jaimie, driving an obsolete car around to develop garbage tires is not a path to the hot seat.
