It's difficult to compare him to this year's Toro Rosso drivers. This year Sauber, Williams and even Caterham have come on in leaps and bounds, and it seems that the team simply aren't as competitive as they were last year. They were good drivers, and probably both deserve to be in F1 in that I think they are better than some of the drivers on the grid. The thing is, Webber will leave Red Bull soon, and if they want to promote a young driver they need to find and prepare the right one. For one reason or another, neither Buemi and Alguersuari were going to be the one to make the jump. Maybe they were better than this year's drivers, but the point of Toro Rosso is to uncover potential, not necessarily to have the best drivers available.
