It can't be down to bad luck any more. There's a point where the excuse that "events beyond my control just went against me" can be acceptable, and then it gets to the point that you're just not performing and these things happen to you because you're constantly driving in the wrong place at the right time.
Massa has had no more than six podium finishes since 2009 and none since Korea 2010. If someone as junior and hot-headed as Maldonado can scrape together a win in a Williams, why can't the once highly rated Massa get so much as a podium in a Ferrari?
And I don't buy the arguement that Ferrari post-2009 hasn't been itself. Alonso has finished on the podium 23 times since 2010! 23 to 5 in Alonso's favour!
