re jack accidents - Indycar crews are not exempt either. However, their stops are longer, as they refuel, so there is more time available to pull the jack hose off. The weight of 3 or 4 air jacks is significant on an F1 car, as this would reduce the amount of weight available to ballast the car for handling, and would affect the CofG.
