Let's be fair, it's not just Silverstone.
I stopped going to any of the GP's because of the traffic problems.
I went to Le Mans for MotoGP this year thinking it'd better abroad but it was just as bad- we'd paid for camping but it meant nothing.
I've been towed out of fields in my car due to rain, sat for hours stationary and it's just not practical.
Only way this will improve is through park & ride schemes for day traffic and hard standing camping with better access. But that just isn't affordable.
