That's a bit harsh guys...
Silverstone has done a hell of a lot in recent years to improve the infastructure of the place! I went to silverstone in 2000 when it was held (for some stupid reason) in April - THAT was a wash out for all 3 days!
Granted, the weather was probably just as bad last weekend as it was then, however the problems wern't as bad this time around, there were much fewer cars stuck in the fields (over 10,000 had to get towed out in 2000), a 14 mile long Traffic Jam in 2000 - there is now an "A" road heading to Silverstone so that problem never happened this year!
Of course there is always room for improvement, but to get this kind of weather in July is rather freakish (even for British standards!) Give Silverstone a break! They made the best out of a bad situation and made sure that on the most important day of all (Race day), all of the fans could attend the race!
