Well yes, it doesn't hurt to put things into perspective. Even Toyota with their massive budget and stability took their time to find regular points, so really I don't think these teams are doing that bad a job. Especially considering all the changes they have gone through in their first two seasons. This goes for both HRT and Marussia.
Having said that though, it's not unthinkable that some of their incentive to live on lies simply in the fact that they are IN F1 - if any new investors should want to get in now they would have to look into buying an existing team as all the slots are filled... This will no doubt increase their potential value.
