If anyone thinks that of Button, then they must include Vettel in the the same critique. Vettel was in the best car in 2010 and by far the best car in 2012, at a level way above that of Brawn in 2009. Button was in the best car in 2009 by ever decreasing margins up to race 6, then Brawn ran out of money to develop the car, so he ended the year in the fourth best car. Barricello out qualified and out raced Schumacher at some point every year he raced for Ferrari, so how is he an also ran? If you know about the 2009 season you would know about Barricello's rant at being beaten by Button when it was plain to see that he was just plain slower. Ross Brawn praised Button and compared him to Schumacher in some ways. Guess you find all sorts commenting here, mostly those who haven't a clue about F1....
