I'm slightly bemused by the response of some 'so called F1 fans'.
Do you call Gross-John old and demented? Nope, I didn't think so.
You might wonder why... for those of us who actually watched this boring procession of a race, Gross-John lined up his Lotus about 1m behind the dedicated yellow line and his grid slot was rather easy to find as he started 2nd.
As Chris said, to suggest that MS is past it at 43, after having had such a strong start this season is ludicrous.
I don't know whether you've noticed, but NR is not setting the world alight either. Yes MS coc$ed up on his start so what. He was clearly annoyed as could be heard over the team radio.
There is nothing wrong with his fitness either, looks fitter than KR to me last time I’ve checked so to call him old, unfit, demented whatever is unjust.
Don't get me wrong, I'm just as frustrated by his and Merc's performance as most of you on here!
