@Dwayne - I think you were watching something different to everyone else. Maldonado admitted he jumped the start in a paddock interview with Natalie Pinkham shortly afterward & explained that the clutch paddle slipped from his hand. Charlie Whiting shook his head in disapproval in one replay & the stewards penalised him five grid places for Monza. Those things, plus it was as obvious as the jaw on Schumi's face that he jumped.
I think you're alone in thinking his start was legal. Not even Maldonado believes that (slightly out of character for him to admit an error, but credit where credit is due).
