Lewis has to hold his hands up as he went for the wing that gave higher D/F hence giving him a lot slower time on the straights, Ive just seen the telemetry on BBCF1 and he is losing .6sec in the straights to Jenson. I believe Lewis is more of an adaptable driver than Jenson and should really have showed this when trying to come to terms with the new wing.
As for the tweet i think he was just trying to show his fans the difference in performance between his and Jensons car which i as a fan do appreciate as it explains why Jenson was so much quicker than a driver who is naturally the quickest at Mclaren.
Lets hope Andy Latham and his team can help to better advise Lewis in future.
